A LITTLE ABOUT PELÚ THEATRE

Pelú aims to create socially-committed, Latino-rooted work in a space allowing for the exploration of story telling through the physical nature of our métier.

Valuing a space for artistic collaboration keen to the fusion of all arts that make up theatre, Pelú is a live, communal experience that only a live show could provide.

CARLOSALEXIS CRUZ

Carlos is a physical theatre actor/creator with an immense desire of using theatre to provoke questioning within those who witness. Originally from Puerto Rico, he is very proud of his heritage: a mix of cultures in itself a bit aggravated by the fact that we are a US colony. Since finding his way to theatre arts, he has a thirst of finding new ways of telling stories. That guided me towards the path of getting an MFA degree in Physical Theatre, with a main focus on the convergence of circus and theatre, and a specialty in mask theatre performance.
